I love Youthtown because they are always having very fun games ready to teach extra fun games.
Rm 17 loves Youthtown as much as me,I do hope they teach us more fun games to play.I love Youthtown more than any thing! Execept books!

       

Persuasive writing

  I was learning to write a persuasive piece of writing. I can think of lots of reasons why ice-cream is better than chocolate. It was easy to  persuade the reader to think ice-cream is better than chocolate because ice cream is very yummy!

Telling Time

I  was learning to understand 24 hour time and write the time in number and words.
I can read the time on the clock and write it in digital time than in words.
It was easy because I had already learnt to tell the time.

Antonyms and Synonms

I was learning to recognise a range of  language features.
I can identify different language features and I understand the meaning of different language features.
It was tricky to find antonyms and synonyms because we were unsure of the meaning of some of the words.

I was learning to write an acrostic poem.             

I can write an acrostic poem about Halloween.                                                                                                                           
It was easy to write an acrostic poem because there is  lots of things  we can say about the
topic; Halloween.

Word Mania

I was learning to make words using different letters.
I can make lots of words using the letters provided.
It was easy because there was lots of letters to choose from.

The Builder's Pet

I was learning to make and justify inferences. I can identify and describe what the author wanted me to feel, think about or see in the text. It was easy because I read the story book carefully.

I can multiply two digits together to reach an answer.

It was tricky because I don't know my times tables that well.

Chinese Cultural lessons

Contractions

I was learning how to make contractions. I can make two longer words into one shorter word. It was easy because the new word had parts of the two words in it.

Punctuation Marks

I was learning about punctuation marks. I know when to use each punctuation mark. It was easy because we have been practicing using punctuation marks in class.

Making Inferences

I was learning to make inferences. I can identify and describe what the author wanted me to feel, think about or see in the text. It was tricky because it was not always easy to find the clues in the text.`

Place Value

I was learning about place value. I can identify how many hundreds, tens and ones are in 3 digit numbers. It was easy because the video we watched in class explained place value well.

Skip Counting in 10's

I was learning to skip count forwards and backwards in tens. I can skip count forwards and backwards in 10's starting from any number. It was easy to skip count in 10's because ten is a tidy number.

Making Connections

I was learning to make connections. I can use personal experiences to connect ideas in the text (text to self). It was easy to make connections to the Grandad because I feel proud of my Grandad too.

Road Safty

Rule number 1. Don't run in front of cars. Wait, look and listen!

Vowel sounds

I was learning about the short and long vowel sounds. I can tell the difference between the long and short vowel sounds. It was easy to tell difference between the vowel sounds because the video explained it well.

Skip Counting

I was learning to skip count in 5's and 2's. I learnt how to skip count in 2's and 5's. It was easy to skip count in 2's and 5's because I have learnt this before.

Summarising Information

I was learning to summarise information.I know a lot about summarising information. I found it easy because I had practised at home
