Reflection I was learning to make similarities and differences between two birds.  I found it tricky because I couldn't find similarities but the teacher helped us. I enjoyed doing this activity because I liked gathering the facts.

I was learning to skim and scan. I found it easy but my partner was taking a long time putting pictures and decorating the slides. I enjoyed learning new facts about native birds.

In this activity my task was to answer questions about the text. I needed to  step into Rachel's shoes and find out how she feels. I found this tricky because I didn't look skim and scan carefully enough. My next steps is to skim and scan the text better.

I am learning to write a narrative poem. I found it tricky to write my poem because I didn't have many ideas and I found it tricky to rhyme words. I can keep working on this and next time use a simile.

Pepeha - Skimming and Scanning

I am learning to skim and scam for information. It was easy because all I had to do was search for the words from the book and look it up on the computer. I learnt about what is in a pepeha and I still need to practice mine.

Statistical Enquiry -

Reflection I am learning to do an statistical inquiry about room 14's favourite food. It was tricky to find all the people my buddy and I needed to. We didn't have the right number for the class. I enjoyed doing the bar chart because all I had to do is copy from the tally chart. My next step is to do another  bar chart.

Bio Poem

Reflection I was learning to write a bio poem.I learnt how to write a bio poem about myself. It was tricky because it was hard to think of three adjectives to describe myself.

Welcome to my Year 4 learning blog.  This year I am in Room 14 and my teacher is Mrs Prendergast.   I enjoy reading.  This year I am looking forward to spelling because it will help me with my writing.  I hope you will enjoy my blog and leave lots of feedback.
